Jarvis Contracting Ltd starting digging on the 26th October, and it is all go! After so many months of debating and negotiations, our dreams of the new Community Hospice are becoming a reality.
The piling works have finished and the ground floor slab construction is underway. The drainage works are also being progressed after resolving some issues around connecting into the drainage system that Bellway Homes have installed on the site.
The Bellway Homes estate which surrounds the new Hospice is called Kingswood. They have officially opened their sales suite and are fully supplied with information about The South Buckinghamshire Community Hospice to share with prospective home buyers.
The architects and engineers are busily planning the detailed design of the retaining walls around the site as there is gentle slope downwards on the land. The water and electricity connections are hooked up and the base of the parking lot has been laid. The site office is open and fully functional. All monthly contract meetings are now being held there.
