Dorothy Attwood, 88, a patient at Butterfly House, The South Bucks Community Hospice, uses her knitting skills to help others.

Dorothy knits shawls to then pass on to GreenAcres woodland burials, where parents who have suffered the death of a newborn have the option for their baby to be buried with the shawl.

GreenAcres Chiltern woodland burials is located in Beaconsfield and offers a tranquil surrounding for people to honour and commemorate a loved one.

Dorothy said: “I always do knitting, wherever I go. You will never find me not knitting!

"But now my grandchildren have grown up I have no babies to knit for.”

Mrs Attwood explained that a friend introduced her to the organisation several years ago and she has been knitting shawls for them ever since.
