We are seeking a talented, compassionate and inspirational leader to head up our clinical service team at South Bucks Hospice.

South Bucks Hospice is a non-bedded day hospice. We support those aged 18 and over suffering from a life-threatening or life-limiting illness through the provision of specialist palliative care on an outpatient basis. Our support can start at any stage of illness, including as soon as an illness has been diagnosed and whilst it may still be curative. At South Bucks Hospice, palliative care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experts including the following range of services:

  • Pain and symptom management
  • Lymphoedema management
  • Physiotherapy and other therapies
  • Practical support, advice and guidance
  • Emotional support
  • Bereavement support
  • Spiritual care
  • A range of support groups

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a day hospice with big aspirations to grow our care services in the local community, using your expert knowledge and initiative to lead and develop services locally making a real difference to the lives of those we care for.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high quality patient-centred clinical care who can provide expert, clear and open leadership to all our care teams and ensure effective management, organisation, delivery and quality of all care services and educational activities.

The successful candidate will be registered with either the NMC or HCPC, will already be a clinical manager with previous experience in a relevant clinical lead role in a CQC registered organisation and will be able to show continual clinical and managerial development throughout their career.

This is a permanent, full time role paying up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing with length of service. We also offer to those currently a member of the NHS Pension Scheme the option to remain in the scheme or alternatively the option to join an employer contributory pension scheme. Free on-site parking is also provided.

If you need any further information or would like an informal conversation about the role please email the Chief Executive Officer: Jackie.Ward@sbhospice.org.uk.

To apply please email vacancy@sbhospice.org.uk with your CV and a covering letter telling us why you are suitable for the role and how you meet our requirements.

Closing date: 19th August 2022.
